We (one adult and three boys) had a fantastic skiing holiday at Gite de Montvilliers. The snow conditions were great in La Plagne and the weather was kind but what really made it for us was the hospitality extended by Yves and Marie. It was possibly the busiest week of the season at half term in February and there were 20 or so guests in the gite. However, nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, including different breakfast/meal times and lifts to and from the slopes to suit the various demands of all the resident families. We were fortunate to be in the company of some really nice fellow guests and my boys (12,9 and 6) had a wonderful time. I'm so glad we decided to stay here and not in a soulless two-bed apartment nearer the slopes ! Thank you Yves and Marie !

As lovely B&B with plenty of French Alpe charm. Our hosts are excellent and the food at breakfast and the evening has been superb. We had a balcony overlooking the village. There was also a garage for the motorbike. Honesty system for the beer and wine as I we were half board got wine with the meal too. Lovely rooms and a great long table for people to sit and have their meals. We have had lovely sunny weather so took advantage of sitting on the balcony and outside. Would recommend anyone wanting to tour the area to stop here or if your skiing it is very close to La Plagne.

We actually made a mistake in our reservation, but the host let us come over even though they were actually closed! We were treated wonderfully and had a great dinner & breakfast. Great place for bikers & anyone who enjoys friendly interaction with other guests in a cozy and natural surrounding. Will definatelly return!

We love the gite, this is our 4th time there. The accomodation are spacious, clean and comfortable, the food is great (and we are not easy), we very much enjoy the conviviality of sharing a table with other guests who are always very good company and board games in the evening. We stayed as a group of 16 at Yves and Marie's fantastic house. Nothing was too much trouble and Yves even joined in on a trick we played on one of our group:-) Food was fantastic and Yves was very flexible with the fussy members of the group. Rooms are very large and spotless. The on-demand lifts to the slopes were very welcome. I would definitely recommend.

My son and I stayed at Montvilliers for 4 nights while we were watching a few of the Alp stages of this years Tour De France.We had an excellent stay at Montvilliers. We met quite a few nice people from all over the world while we had dinner in a big family setting with wines, coffee and avecs. The setting of course orchestrated by Yves and Maria cooking local food and making us feel truly "at home". We brought bicycles ourselves however mine broke whilce trying to climb Petit St. Bernhard. As the most obvious thing Yves offered that I could borrow his bike - that's hospitality and service. I can only recommend this place and I shall be back soon.

Eerder toevallig vond ik de Gite op Internet want in juni is er weinig beschikbaar qua verblijven. De ontvangst, de fantastische keuken, de voor ons toch wel leuke ligging en de gastvrijheid maakten dat we een reuze verblijf beleefden. Ik ben liefhebber van wilde planten, van stevige wandelingen en van de rust van de natuur. De combinatie met het verblijf was een succes. Waarlijk een aanrader. After a tough day on the motorbike with lots of cold moments especially at the top of little St. Bernard we arrived in the later afternoon in Aime.The rooms are large and comfortable and the price very fair. For dinner we had a great "Raclette" which was suitable for the day we had spent on the motorbike. Wir waren im September 2015 mit 6 Motorrädern und 9 Personen für eine Woche in Montvilliers und haben die wunderschöne Gegend und die Gastfreundschaft von Yves und seiner Familie genossen. Das Haus ist sehr schön im Landhausstil gehalten, alles passt sehr harmonisch zusammen, die Zimmer sind groß und sauber, Dusche und WC im Zimmer. Motorräder standen in einer offenen Garage. Ein Trockenraum steht zur Verfügung.Ein Highlight des Tages war das Abendessen, alles selbst gemacht und es wurden lokale Spezialitäten angeboten, jeder Tag ein Festessen aller Gäste an großer Tafel mit Vorspeise und köstlichem Nachtisch! Wasser und Rotwein sowie ein Abschlusskaffee sind inkl. Bei Bedarf kann Yves in sehr gutem Deutsch Fragen zu Land und Leuten beantworten und auch Ausflugtipps geben. Hallo Yves, hallo Marie,wir hatte eine wunderbare Zeit bei Euch. Die idyllische Lage mit viel Ruhe bei gleichzeitiger Geselligkeit mit euch und den anderen Motorrad Fahren hat uns gut gefallen. Die große rustikale Tafel zu den Malzeiten in gemeinsamer Runde haben wir als unkompliziert und familiär empfunden. Sehr passend für Biker :-))). Das Essen war stets ausrechend und sehr schmackhaft und der Wein schien niemals auszugehen :-) Yves, Deinen bescheiden und zugleich interessant erzählten Geschichten über die Region haben wir stets sehr aufmerksam zugehört. Die Zimmer waren sauber und geräumig. Schön ist auch die große Terrasse wo man den Abend umgeben vom weitläufigen Garten bei einem Bierchen ausklingen lassen kann. Die zentrale Lage von Villiers erlaubt herrliche Tagestouren in die Umgebung.Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal bei euch :-) Gruß Volker und seine Biker Freunde.

Stayed with Yves and Maria for a week of cycling in August. Had a wonderful stay - the room, meals, terrace and atmosphere were great! I can truly recommend the Gite. Cyclists be prepared: the climb back up from the valley can be quite brutal in the afternoon after a long day, so save some energy :-)Did the Cormet de Roselend, Les Arcs, La Madeleine, the Pt St Bernard and finished with the Iseran in brilliant sunshine. Hope to return here again some time soon. Thanks for the hospitality!

Es hat uns super gefallen bei Yves und seiner Familie! Das Abendessen war absolut Klasse. Wir saßen alle an einem großen Tisch, Yves und seine Familie und noch weitere Gäste aus Frankreich und Niederlande, hatte tolle internationale Gespräche und jede Menge Spaß. Das Zimmer war einfach, aber sehr sauber. Das ganze Haus war total romatisch und passte in diese wunderschöne Landschaft in den Bergen. Wir waren nur auf der "Durchreise" auf unserem Weg nach Nizza, entlang der Route des Grandes Alpes, aber wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder dort übernachten, wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind.

Wir waren zu viert vom 18-24.06-2012 zu Gast bei Yves Bonneaud. Die Zimmer sind Einfach, kein TV&Radio Safe.. usw.Wichtig aber gute Betten & Dusche WC.Das Essen ist SUPER und ausreichend. Nach der Motorradtour (ca 320KM Pro Tag OHNE Stress!!!!!!!!!) Haben wir es uns auf der Terasse gemütlich gemacht.DerKühlschrank mit Kühlen Getränken ist immer gut gefüllt,Wasser und Kaffee ist auch ausreichend vorhanden.Yves ist immer bemüht allen wünschen nach zu kommen.Wir werden auf jedenfall wieder kommen.Hat einfach alles gepasst.

Ein sehr persönlich geführtes kleines Hotel, welches durch die Küchenleistung von Yves und der charmanten Art von Marie, sich äußerst positiv im Hotelallerlei abhebt. Alleine schon das Kaminzimmer, mit der langen Tafel, läßt sogar nicht französisch sprechenden Gästen schnell einen Zugang zu anderen Hotelgästen bekommen. Das frühere Dorfschulhaus besticht durch sein wild-romantisches äußere, die Lage auf 1 100 m mit Blick auf Mount Pouri - hinab ins Tal von Aime....jeden Morgen ein Genuss den Sonnenaufgang zu erleben. Vorsicht ist bei Yves Kaffee geboten, für alle die ohne Milch trinken ;-) eine der stärksten Kaffee die ich jemals bekommen habe...aber auch gut damit man den winkligen Weg hinab ins Tal übersteht.;-) Zusammengenommen ein Geheimtip für Motorradfahrer, Wanderer und Frankreichfans, die nicht die klinische Atmosphäre eines Hotels mögen, sondern das besondere an Frankreich schätzen und suchen. Das Ganze bei einem mehr wie fairen Preis- Leistungsverhältniss. Tip: Abendessen (3-Gang mitbestellen, sehr gute Hausmannskost, die auch Deutschen schmeckt - Gemüsegarten von Yves oberhalb des Hotels) Sehr gerne bin ich wieder Gast...mit Motorrad. ”

Hallo Yves, hallo Marie,wir hatte eine wunderbare Zeit bei Euch. Die idyllische Lage mit viel Ruhe bei gleichzeitiger Geselligkeit mit euch und den anderen Motorrad Fahren hat uns gut gefallen. Die große rustikale Tafel zu den Malzeiten in gemeinsamer Runde haben wir als unkompliziert und familiär empfunden. Sehr passend für Biker :-))).

Yves, Deinen bescheiden und zugleich interessant erzählten Geschichten über die Region haben wir stets sehr aufmerksam zugehört.
Die Zimmer waren sauber und geräumig.
Schön ist auch die große Terrasse wo man den Abend umgeben vom weitläufigen Garten bei einem Bierchen ausklingen lassen kann.
Die zentrale Lage von Villiers erlaubt herrliche Tagestouren in die Umgebung.Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal bei euch :-)

Stayed with Yves and Maria for a week of cycling in August. Had a wonderful stay - the room, meals, terrace and atmosphere were great! I can truly recommend the Gite. Cyclists be prepared: the climb back up from the valley can be quite brutal in the afternoon after a long day, so save some energy :-)Did the Cormet de Roselend, Les Arcs, La Madeleine, the Pt St Bernard and finished with the Iseran in brilliant sunshine. Hope to return here again some time soon. Thanks for the hospitality!

Wir waren begeistert von der kleinen familiengeführten Pension in den Rhone Alpes. Gemütliche, persönliche Atmosphäre in idyllischer Lage. Hilfreich für uns war der sehr gut deutsch sprechende, hilfsbereite Wirt. Nicht nur für Biker ein Paradies wegen der Kurven und Pässe, sondern auch für Skifreunde eine super Adresse Merci Monsieur Bonneaud!

Reinhard Batzel - Bremen, le 16. - 23.06.2012Es hat uns super gefallen bei Yves und seiner Familie! Das Abendessen war absolut Klasse. Wir saßen alle an einem großen Tisch, Yves und seine Familie und noch weitere Gäste aus Frankreich und Niederlande, hatte tolle internationale Gespräche und jede Menge Spaß. Das Zimmer war einfach, aber sehr sauber. Das ganze Haus war total romatisch und passte in diese wunderschöne Landschaft in den Bergen. Wir waren nur auf der "Durchreise" auf unserem Weg nach Nizza, entlang der Route des Grandes Alpes, aber wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder dort übernachten, wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind.

Die Zimmer sind Einfach, kein TV&Radio Safe.. usw.Wichtig aber gute Betten & Dusche WC.Das Essen ist SUPER und ausreichend. Nach der Motorradtour (ca 320KM Pro Tag OHNE Stress!!!!!!!!!) Haben wir es uns auf der Terasse gemütlich gemacht.DerKühlschrank mit Kühlen Getränken ist immer gut gefüllt,Wasser und Kaffee ist auch ausreichend vorhanden.Yves ist immer bemüht allen wünschen nach zu kommen.Wir werden auf jedenfall wieder kommen.Hat einfach alles gepasst.
Lukossek Kurt - Mönchengladbach, le 18-06-2012 - 24-06-2012Ein sehr persönlich geführtes kleines Hotel, welches durch die Küchenleistung von Yves und der charmanten Art von Marie, sich äußerst positiv im Hotelallerlei abhebt. Alleine schon das Kaminzimmer, mit der langen Tafel, läßt sogar nicht französisch sprechenden Gästen schnell einen Zugang zu anderen Hotelgästen bekommen. Das frühere Dorfschulhaus besticht durch sein wild-romantisches äußere, die Lage auf 1 100 m mit Blick auf Mount Pouri - hinab ins Tal von Aime....jeden Morgen ein Genuss den Sonnenaufgang zu erleben. Vorsicht ist bei Yves Kaffee geboten, für alle die ohne Milch trinken ;-) eine der stärksten Kaffee die ich jemals bekommen habe...aber auch gut damit man den winkligen Weg hinab ins Tal übersteht.;-) Zusammengenommen ein Geheimtip für Motorradfahrer, Wanderer und Frankreichfans, die nicht die klinische Atmosphäre eines Hotels mögen, sondern das besondere an Frankreich schätzen und suchen. Das Ganze bei einem mehr wie fairen Preis- Leistungsverhältniss. Tip: Abendessen (3-Gang mitbestellen, sehr gute Hausmannskost, die auch Deutschen schmeckt - Gemüsegarten von Yves oberhalb des Hotels) Sehr gerne bin ich wieder Gast...mit Motorrad. ”

What can I say, we found this by chance and what a find it was. Yves, Marie and their family are great. We had a fabulaous week skiing and nothing is to much trouble. A very relaxed home with great food and perfect for families.So good we have booked for next year aswell.
